The small town of Nailsworth, near Stroud in Gloucestershire, will be pulling out all the stops to celebrate the Vegan Festival of Britain (VFOB). Members of Gloucestershire Vegans group will have a stall at the town’s popular Farmers’ Market on Saturday 27 May, 9am to 1 pm, with lots of free samples of vegan goodies, many of them kindly supplied by the town’s vegan restaurant, Asparagasm. There will be literature on plant-based nutrition and information about where vegan products can be bought in town.
Throughout the Festival period, local shops will be highlighting their vegan and cruelty-free products, and Nailsworth’s independent bookshop will have a window display of vegan cookbooks and guides to ethical living. Many of the cafes and restaurants in Nailsworth will be putting on special vegan menus.
Can you visit shops and restaurants in your town and see if they will do something special for VFOB?
