So far during the Festival we’ve had a great time showing the public all the great vegan food choices that are available. But this weekend we’re really grateful to the two innovative Cornish projects in Gunnislake and Penryn for demonstrating how vegan food production offers the best hope for feeding a growing human population on a healthy, environmentally-friendly, plant-based diet.
Other events this weekend include a vegan market in Sneinton, Nottingham and an ECO Festival in Belper, where our good friends from Veggies are doing the catering. Brighton hosts Vegan Events UK and VIVA’s outdoor Summer Fest, and Exeter Friends for Animals will be promoting the vegan cause (and next Saturday’s Compassion @ the Castle grand finale to The Vegan Festival of Britain) at the city’s huge Respect human rights festival.
And don’t forget our ongoing weekend events: a full-English fry-up today at The Cornish Vegan in Truro, 10am-3pm and champagne & canapés (or an equally delicious fry-up breakfast) by the sea at the lovely Terrace Arts Café in Seaton, East Devon, on both Saturday and Sunday.
Finally, special offers are still available from Ms Cupcake, Plamil Foods and Chococo.
